Benafshenu - The Israeli Center for Mental Health & Social Support, Founded by Amcha (R.A.), was established to provide mental, emotional and social care services to a variety of populations suffering from trauma, post-trauma, delayed post-trauma, trans-generation transfer, and coping with various life crises.
For four decades, the association's therapists have worked with Holocaust survivors in view of the post-traumatic effects of the Holocaust on them and subsequent generations. This work was performed maintaining the values of responsibility, dedication, ethics and social benefit. We continue to treat patients in Benafshenu based on these values and the extensive knowledge accumulated over the years.
The professional and skilled team of Benafshenu has about five hundred therapists - psychologists, social workers - psychotherapists, art therapists and psychiatrists, all with a rich clinical experience backed by regular training and continuing education.
The Benafshenu Association invites the general public who are dealing with mental hardships and difficulties, collective and personal traumas, life crises in all aspects of life to use our services including counseling, mental therapy, training for professionals and workshops in the relevant fields. The activity of the association takes place in 15 branches located all around the country - from the north to the south.

The Vision of Amcha for Founding Benafshenu
On the basis of our adherence to human moral values and national values according to the Declaration of Independence, in accordance with the vision of the prophets of Israel, who call us to set an example of social justice for the entire world and from the perspective of human dignity also as a lesson we must learn from the Holocaust, Amcha will initiate the establishment of an organization that will be the leading body in Israel in the field The mental and social support in Israeli society in all its aspects.
This organization - which will be called Benafshenu, will focus on the elderly, veterans of the security forces, those suffering from social trauma and marginalized and disadvantaged population groups, and will also be a center of knowledge and training in its fields of activity.
Both organizations will be characterized by sensitivity, compassion and integrity, therapeutic excellence and responsibility for the well-being of the therapists, volunteers and staff.

The Benafshenu Association is a professional association with a wide geographic reach and a unique background in the context of treating post-trauma, social trauma, and expertise in working with the elderly and trans-generational therapy in the family, community and society, of personal and general traumas.
Benafshenu will work to promote access to care for populations located in the social and geographic outskirts in the State of Israel and will be a source of knowledge in these fields for both Israel and the world.
